About Passover

Pesach remembers the Exodus from Egypt. It begins with the Seder meal and lasts seven or eight days.

In 2027 it falls on a Thursday; we add later years once their dates are published. Also in April 2027: Earth Day (22 Apr), Lyrid meteor shower (22 Apr) and World Book and Copyright Day (23 Apr). From this page you can add it to your calendar, get an email before it, share the countdown, or show it full screen.

How we work out the date

It begins on the 15th of Nisan in the Hebrew calendar.
