About Good Friday

Remembers the crucifixion of Jesus. A public holiday in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada and many other countries.

In 2027 it falls on a Friday; in 2028 it’s on Friday 14 April, and in 2029 on Friday 30 March. Because it’s a Friday this time, wherever it’s a day off it makes a long weekend of at least three days. Also in March 2027: Greek Independence Day (25 Mar), Independence Day (Bangladesh) (26 Mar) and National Science Appreciation Day (26 Mar).
