About World Steelpan Day

World Steelpan Day is one of the international days on the United Nations list. The UN uses these days to draw attention to an issue and to what people around the world are doing about it.

In 2027 it falls on a Wednesday; in 2028 it’s on Friday 11 August, and in 2029 on Saturday 11 August. Also in August 2027: World Lion Day (10 Aug), International Youth Day (12 Aug) and Perseid meteor shower (12 Aug). From this page you can add it to your calendar, get an email before it, share the countdown, or show it full screen.

How we work out the date
It’s on 11 August every year, as set by the United Nations.
