About Spring bank holiday

A UK bank holiday at the end of May.

In 2027 it falls on a Monday; in 2028 it’s on Monday 29 May, and in 2029 on Monday 28 May. Because it’s a Monday this time, wherever it’s a day off it makes a long weekend of at least three days. Also in May 2027: World No-Tobacco Day (31 May), Memorial Day (31 May) and World Parrot Day (31 May). From this page you can add it to your calendar, get an email before it, share the countdown, or show it full screen.

How we work out the date
It’s the last Monday of May.
