About Quadrantid meteor shower

The Quadrantids have a short, sharp peak that lasts only a few hours, best seen from the Northern Hemisphere.

In 2027 it falls on a Sunday; we add later years once their dates are published. Also in January 2027: National Science Fiction Day (2 Jan), World Braille Day (4 Jan) and National Ribbon Skirt Day (4 Jan). From this page you can add it to your calendar, get an email before it, share the countdown, or show it full screen.

How we work out the date
The peak comes around 3 to 4 January each year.
