About World Wetlands Day

World Wetlands Day is one of the international days on the United Nations list. The UN uses these days to draw attention to an issue and to what people around the world are doing about it.

In 2027 it falls on a Tuesday; in 2028 it’s on Wednesday 2 February, and in 2029 on Friday 2 February. Also in February 2027: Groundhog Day (2 Feb), Candlemas (2 Feb) and World Ostrich Day (2 Feb). From this page you can add it to your calendar, get an email before it, share the countdown, or show it full screen.

How we work out the date
It’s on 2 February every year, as set by the United Nations.
