International Day of Play is one of the international days on the United Nations list. The UN uses these days to draw attention to an issue and to what people around the world are doing about it.

In 2027 it falls on a Friday; in 2028 it’s on Sunday 11 June, and in 2029 on Monday 11 June. Because it’s a Friday this time, wherever it’s a day off it makes a long weekend of at least three days. Also in June 2027: Shavuot (11 Jun), National Corn on the Cob Day (11 Jun) and International Lynx Day (11 Jun).
