About International Day for People of African Descent

International Day for People of African Descent is one of the international days on the United Nations list. The UN uses these days to draw attention to an issue and to what people around the world are doing about it.

In 2027 it falls on a Tuesday; in 2028 it’s on Thursday 31 August, and in 2029 on Friday 31 August. Also in August 2027: Hari Merdeka (31 Aug), Independence Day (Trinidad and Tobago) (31 Aug) and Trail Mix Day (31 Aug). From this page you can add it to your calendar, get an email before it, share the countdown, or show it full screen.
