International Mountain Day is coming up.

About International Mountain Day

International Mountain Day is one of the international days on the United Nations list. The UN uses these days to draw attention to an issue and to what people around the world are doing about it.

In 2026 it falls on a Friday; in 2027 it’s on Saturday 11 December, and in 2028 on Monday 11 December. Because it’s a Friday this time, wherever it’s a day off it makes a long weekend of at least three days. Also in December 2026: Human Rights Day (10 Dec), National Noodle Ring Day (11 Dec) and Engineers’ Day (Brazil) (11 Dec). From this page you can add it to your calendar, get an email before it, share the countdown, or show it full screen.
