International Day of Light is coming up.

About International Day of Light

International Day of Light is one of the international days on the United Nations list. The UN uses these days to draw attention to an issue and to what people around the world are doing about it.

In 2027 it falls on a Sunday; in 2028 it’s on Tuesday 16 May, and in 2029 on Wednesday 16 May. This time it falls at the weekend; some countries move the day off to a weekday when that happens. Also in May 2027: Pentecost (16 May), Eid al-Adha (16 May) and Teachers’ Day (Malaysia) (16 May). From this page you can add it to your calendar, get an email before it, share the countdown, or show it full screen.
