About Chinese Language Day

Chinese Language Day is one of the international days on the United Nations list. The UN uses these days to draw attention to an issue and to what people around the world are doing about it.

In 2027 it falls on a Tuesday; in 2028 it’s on Thursday 20 April, and in 2029 on Friday 20 April. Also in April 2027: National Rice Ball Day (19 Apr), Bicycle Day (19 Apr) and National Tea Day (21 Apr). From this page you can add it to your calendar, get an email before it, share the countdown, or show it full screen.

How we work out the date
It’s on 20 April every year, as set by the United Nations.
