National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day is coming up.

About National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day

National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day is marked on 9 April each year in the United States. It’s one of the observances proclaimed by US presidents listed on Wikipedia.

In 2027 it falls on a Friday; in 2028 it’s on Sunday 9 April, and in 2029 on Monday 9 April. Because it’s a Friday this time, wherever it’s a day off it makes a long weekend of at least three days. Also in April 2027: Zoo Lovers Day (8 Apr), National D.A.R.E. Day (8 Apr) and Siblings Day (10 Apr). From this page you can add it to your calendar, get an email before it, share the countdown, or show it full screen.
